Heh heh Carp

Like the music joke there - but now you will have to post a pic! Which 'character' from The Village Folk' would the rest of the band be? No policemen or construction workers or Indians at Stonewylde!!!

I love the fact that we are all so passionate about this possible Gathering... Will make sure nothing gets put in my diary for next year until we have arranged something!!!

I am musically bereft but would love to learn the Bodhram (spelled correctly?) or anything else anyone wanted to teach me. I do sing in teh bath but that is no promise of quality!

We shall have to compose a Stonewylde Song and put it to music - any songwriters in the house. Will go and have a go myself too - just to see what comes out of my head. Will be pants but fun to try!!

Now I'm imagining you in lederhosen, Carp! Any thigh-slapping jigs to go with them?  And don't forget the Alpenhorn!

oh i should stay away from this thread~it makes me want to take off in pippin~swampy has always said he thought my Irish family were travelling tinkers and thats why i love being away so much~i am sure he is right
i get back one day and i am ready for the off again  such itchy feet!

i would love to sit round a fire and tell my travelling tales in between songs and poetry :D

what would i tell you...

...of sitting in a hot sulphur pool in heavy snow
...of watching a coyote walk down the road, stop and stare at me only a few feet away then vanish down a snowy hillside
...of sitting in a gay bar in hong kong called the pink parrot with Triads in the back room
...of sitting in a plane at Karachi with the plane surrounded by armed men
...of the feeling of 'coming home' when visiting ancient, sacred sights

okay where shall we hold this festival????????????????????? :D

Where and when - the perennial questions! You can guarantee that whenever and whereever it is - some poor person will not be able to go and it had BETTER NOT BE ME!!!

I have a tent and sleeping bags and bags of enthusiasm! Need to get the cooking stuff, mattress, thermals and kitchen sink - good thing I get a discount in Millets!!

Anyone know of a spider repellent for tents? I know you can get mosi ones but spiders are my nemesis - even Stonewylde ones!!
