Managed to drive into Shropshire on Bank holiday Monday to see the Green Man festival. It was very Stonewylde - there was a fight between the Green Man and the Frost Queen to represent the Oak/Holly King story. Then we saw morris dancer and singers, maypole dancing and the fair. It was fantastic and well worth the drive from Birmingham!

The outfits are brilliant and the setting looks lovely too. I'd love to go to something like that. There must be stuff going on in Cornwall, I just don't know about it

There is a Green Man fest just outside Brecon, I passed it a couple of years ago & didnt know what it was, looked it up online when i got in and thought I would go one year, so far I havent but maybe I wsill get around to it. Looks great but always at the wrong time of year for me

Sea Sprite, do you know of or go to any moots in Cornwall? I get Pagan Dawn, which always has a What's On guide, so I could look it up for you if you like.
Also you might like to google Druid Order of Tamaris - it's a Plymouth-based group for not just Druids, but for Pagans specifically in Devon and Cornwall, and they have travelling moots in both counties. I know they're planning a weekend Solstice camp near Moretonhampstead. Have a look at their site and see what you think. I know what it's like to be so isolated and not see another Pagan soul, and that's especially hard around the festivals, when everybody else seems to be having such a great time.

Now the Cornish do it the other way round (what a slogan for a bumper sticker, ) - you can get into Cornwall for free, but they charge you to get out!
