I suppose it's just that for some people, it's style before substance. What you need is a bit of both. As in most things in life - balance.

But I am hoping for the Stonewylde Saturday night party at the Gathering, those who enjoy dressing up will be able to wow us all! It'll be great to dress up in bizarre and exotic things and not feel silly. And those who want to hold onto their twigs and leaves and earthy look will feel equally at home and beautiful. :D I'm working on Mr B and the Green Man look, but I think he's more enamoured with a jodhpurs and riding boots Magus-type style!!

Balance in all things is something I aim for but rarely manage   !!!!
I think I've persuaded Adrian to have a Green Man tattoo but that's about as far as it'll go I suspect. I'm liking the idea of jodhs and boots though......., he might go for that

Now we just need a lake for them to dive in to.....

I like your idea, Kit, of dressing up on Saturday night! I do like an excuse to get the finery out but will be torn as what to wear now... :?

I love those Pixie dresses from the link but also have some velvet tucked away! I think Ebany has visions of us all dresses as wenches...

If there's not a lake could we improvise with a paddling pool do you think.....    !!!

I'll be packing some bits and bobs for the dressy uppy on Saturday night too, not so much 'wench' as 'wrench' though, these days! I might even get Ade to wear one of those laced up shirts from the Dark Angel site..........., that and jodhs....and boots.......

The Gathering can be your excuse to NOT forget to go shopping - something lovely to aim for now! If I am very careful I might save enough for some handmade boots too - SD, if you see this, how long did they take to make yours?

Wow! dressing up on Saturday night.
I love dress up. I am very exciting after reading this thread. My favourite outfit is a fairy but I I am usually up for anything. I may have mentioned before that I wore a fairy outfit for my wedding. I will post a pic.
