Stone Circle

Postby Firecracker » Wed Feb 06, 2008 1:02 pm

This is a lovely stone circle in Keswick in the Lake District, I always make sure I fit in a little visit whenever we go out walking for the day. I know there are festivals that go on there at the Solstices and I'd love to go there one time. With a toddler though it may be many years before I get the chance! I once went there two days after the summer solstice and it was amazing, you could feel the energy just walking up the hill to it.

I thought I would share a few photo's from the last time I was there. I went on holiday with my son and my neice and my parents last year. Even my 4 year old neice Charlie soaked up the energy, look at her hugging a stone! :D

And here's a little one of me and my Danny, I just wanted to share this one cos I think he's gorgeous, of course dosen't every mum think that lol

He's a bright spark, Firecracker! And lovely to see you, too!

Loved the photos, hon! What stunning scenery - looks absolutely gorgeous.

Great photo's Firecracker!! Looks really good up there!
This is me at the Rollrights - my brother took the photo, showed it to the whole family before I got to see it - I'm now known as Tony the treehugger.... Ho hum, could have been worse I suppose...

Thanx! The great bit is, I really didn't know that the photo was being taken, so it's not at all posed!
B.T.W. Mr B, I tried to post the whole photo which didn't work so I just posted the link to the public server which does seem to work. I've undoubtably done something un-clever (sounds better than dumb!!) but I'm not quite sure what.

Hi Hazelbrook,

I use Photobucket (www.photobucket.com) to host them. You sign up for a free account and upload your photos. You can edit them to change the size etc..

Then there are four options for the kind of message board you are posting them on. To put them in the post like I did I use the 'show image' option. You just copy and paste the details into your post.

If you get stuck let me know and I'll send you my email and put them up for you. They sound great, I can't wait to see them.

Did you do a tour up to Orkney, Hazelbrook, or did you go it alone?
