What Printed Edition(s) Have You Got?

Postby mrb » Tue Jun 24, 2008 3:03 pm

Of course Kit and I have all the versions tucked away in the Stonewylde "library".

There are now a few different editions our there ... and of course the rarer versions are the earlier ones with less copies printed.

At the time of writing:

Magus: UK editions 1, 2, & 3 and US edition 1
Moondance: UK editions 1 & 2
Solstice: UK edition 1

The rarest of all is a handful of Magus' with a pink tinted cover ... worth holding on to if you have one ... or going green over for if you don't... and possibly worth killing for if it's also signed!

Let us know YOUR version ... and if its pink ... lock your doors! :!:

Ooh! I shall look now....

I have Magus November 06 reprint - with lovely message written by Kit.

Moondance is out on loan at teh moment to an ill friend so will check later. Signed with lovely message from Kit

Solstice is first edition (I guess) Oct 07 - also signed and dedicated by Kit. All were signed when I met her for coffee last December.

No pink tinted copy tho... but what a great competition prize one of those would be...

MrB you will have us all looking frantically, I will be checking mine later and please tell that wonderful lady in your life there is no way Stonewylde can come to an end in my lifetime!!
I keep putting off starting to read them again until winter when i can wrap up and loose myself for a few days in Stonewyle.

If any one has just dropped onto this site they will not understand so i urge to go and get yourself a set and read them, that is the only way you will know and you too will become Stonewylde

November 2006 (second edition) of Magus (signed by Kit);
November 2006 (first edition) of Moondance (signed by Kit); and
I presume first edition (bought at Halloween Bash?) of Solstice (signed by Kit).

Mine are;
2nd edition Magus
1st edition Moondance
1st edition Solstice

I wish I had the first edition of Magus too, I like things to be neat and matching, but only because I am a bit OCD at times. OK - all the time

No, it doesn't. Basically, if there is only one date in the book, then its a first edition, if there is more than one date - count the number of dates and that's the edition you have.

So, say you have

© 2005
Reprinted 2006

Then its a second edition.

So, second edition Magus and first editions of Moondance and Solstice. Thought there was a special number after the date to show which edition, which shows how much I know!!

Thank you for clarifying i-witch!

I knew what iWitch explains so well but I too thought there maybe a number or code.

But would you part with yours :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

is it just a book to read & pass on or are they treasured, I cant bare to see books thrown out when finished with. Trouble is the house is getting smaller

Love books and only ever pass on to charity or recycle books I cannot use/stand/are falling apart. Flat shrinking around me with books but I don't care, they are part of my family and chart my life and reading tastes!

To clarify...

Postby mrb » Mon Jul 21, 2008 9:46 pm

Ok. To clarify ...

Magus: UK editions 1 (Oct 2005), 2 (Nov 2006), & 3 (Nov 2007) and US edition 1 (Sep 2007)
Moondance: UK editions 1 (Nov 2006) & 2 (Jan 2008)
Solstice: UK edition 1 (Oct 2007)

The rarest of all is a handful of Magus' with a pink tinted cover (Oct 2006)... worth holding on to if you have one ... or going green over for if you don't... and possibly worth killing for if it's also signed!
