While posting a piccie of Alan Tudyk as Steve the Pirate in Firecracker's thread in the Villlage Green, I realised that I have been remis in introducing you all to Nathan Fillion, who was in "Firefly" and most recently "Desperate Fishwives" (as it is known hereabouts) -

Duh  Noticing that "Captain Corelli's Mandolin" is on tonight (BBC1 10.35pm), I cannot believe that I have failed to think of Christian Bale (Dark Knight, The Prestige, Reign of Fire, American Psycho etc) -

It's a bad film - one to knit in front of, only glancing up when appropriate :)
If Kit wrote a "Stonewylde 10 Years Later", he'd be a most excellent older Yul...

What about Dominic Cooper for an older Yul.... (don't think he has already been paraded on here!)

I think John Barrowman would be an excellent Magus, and he blonds-up really well (The Producers).

I think a really good choice for Mother Heggy would be Julie Walters. I think Mother Heggy needs to be a sinister character but lovable at the same time - who else could pull that off but Julie?

I can't think of a suitable actress to play Sylvie though...
