You got one lady twice QoS! Not sure which one she is but I think it is the Grey's lady. :D

Good red hair though for Miranda but could she handle a British accent...?

I think i've seen Liz smith's name mentioned before as a suitable candidate for mother heggy - she'd be great.

I think if I had the chance to play a part, it would be Raven :D

I can identify with Miranda and being overwhelmed by a stronger man, but I am no actress - most I did was school plays heh heh!

Dunno who else I would like to be, I just looked for the books but they are nto where they should be...hmmm... think the pixies are playing in my living room again!

I'm afraid I'm not much up on British actresses...

No apologies needed, Carp - reading everyone's posts give me a big grin - we can all dream. And bearing in mind we have a young readership as well as all the (slightly) over 18s, Mother Heggy's helper hasn't felt the need for any more brewups for a long time - this is what makes the website what it is - open to all, and a great community to be part of.

Hey, all you newbies - join in. We'd love to hear from you, too!

With a smile,
CM

Mmm - I think there is sometimes a difference between women that I think would be great in the film (Dawn French is a prime example) and women that I think are gorgeous and would maybe fit in. To start with NO Americans!! They can't get our accents right, the attitude is wrong and most of them are stuffed full of botox and have been under the knife several times.

I also have a problem with remembering who's who - I only follow a couple of series and watch the occasional film - and mostly forget who was in them anyway.

A couple of ladies spring to mind: Liz White (the wpc in Life on Mars), dead gorgeous and could easily be a villager, Eve Myles (Torchwood) http://www.tvguide.com/tvshows/torchwoo ... /290257/24 Wow yes please!!!!!! 8) 8).

There are loads more British actresses who would fit in well, but I'll have to have a think about it.
Must go, thinking about Eve and Liz means it's time for a cold shower.... :) :D

with you all the way Ebany, we should keep it British only (real actors) and leave the plastic people with their botox & mirrors for the big rubbish films.

Eve Miles is lovely - good choice Ebany. I love Torchwood and Dr Who as well, and she is very believeable as the wpc turned alien hunter - she keeps it real.

There is an adaptation of Tess of the D'Urbervilles on BBC tonight - the lead actress looks just what we need so I shall try to catch her name at the end. She is dark and does a good old Dorset accent to boot!
