Who does this remind you of?

Postby Felicity » Fri Sep 26, 2008 9:28 am

It's one of my favourite songs 'In Perfect Harmony' by Within Temptation.

In a world so far away
At the end of a closing day
A little child was born and raised
Deep in the forest on a hidden place
Mother never saw his face

Chorus;
Ancient spirits of the forest
Made him king of elves and trees
He was the only human being
Who lived in harmony
In perfect harmony

repeat chorus

The woods protected, fulfilled his needs
Fruit by birds, honey by bees

He found shelter under the trees
He grew up in their company
They became his family

Chorus (2x)

A thousand seasons
They passed him by
So many times, have said goodbye
And when the spirits called out his name
To join forever, forever to stay
A forest spirit he became

Chorus (2x)

In perfect harmony

Does it remind you of Yul? It does to me, every time I hear it!
Are we human because we gaze at the stars or do we gaze at them because we are human? And do the stars gaze back - now that's a question!

Good band - Dutch as it happens!! We actually sing two of their numbers with the choir, the one, Ice Queen being our real show stopper!! They are playing near me soon, but not sure if there are still tickets available.

Hey Ebany, didnt notice that you were from the Nethelands, sorry.
I would love to go and see them. I have just got the 'Black Symphony' Live DVD and it is fantastic.

I agree Ice Queen is an amazing song my two faves are 'It's the Fear@ ffrom the Silent Force CD and 'Our solemn Hour' together with 'All I Need' from The Heart of Everything CD.

It's okay Swampy, not from here (originally Cornish) but been here 29 years so have absorbed lots of the culture by now!! The British band that I like in the same sort of vein is Inkubus Sukkubus - they have the advantage that they are very much a Pagan band. The other Dutch one to look out for is Omnia.
cheers

I meant the New Forest. Don't know any other connotation of this so I'm sorry if NF means something else. Don't tell us if it's rude!
