Thank you, Swampy!   Your turn to make ME blush! Glad you're enjoying your re-read. Or maybe enjoying is the wrong word given your anger at M & A's behaviour! xxx

Woohoo I knew I could get you back

This is only my first re-read Kit, and as I save my reading for bathtime and bedtime, it does take me a while to get through a book. This means that everything will still be fresh for the release of book 4 :D:D:D

Funnily enough, the very first person in the world to read the original manuscript of Magus read a lot of it in the bath!!! She was a work colleague from my school, and not particularly a friend, so I knew she'd give me an honest opinion. It was terrifying giving it to her, and she kept phoning me up with comments. It was a great bundle of A4 paper, really thick, and I hated the thought of her taking it into the bath to read! Luckily she loved it - else it might have ended up in the bin (recycling of course!) and none of us would be here today!!!!

Oh how I remember that, and the way I used to get butterflies in the pit of my stomach and my knees would tremble at the sight of the dreaded See Me scrawled in red ink at the bottom of my effort, especially if it was maths (and it usually was!)

yes i remember that too, always had comments and dreaded the reports too. They always said "he could have done better" it was only years later after I found my way in the world did i realise I should have wrote back saying "you could have done better"

it all worked out fine and wouldnt change anything except the lottory numbers.

No reflection on teachers Kit, just some I had
When i read the bit about reading it in the bath, it went through me, how could she. i got too much respect and it would have been so easy to ruin it all. I dont lend therfore I dont borrow unless it's a two way thing & then treated as my own.

I have dropped 'Magus' in the bath - have also had countless baths gone cold on me whilst reading Stonewylde. Was my shivering down to the icy water or Kit's superb writing?! Probably a bit of both!
Are we human because we gaze at the stars or do we gaze at them because we are human? And do the stars gaze back - now that's a question!
