Off to The Barn...

Postby Sujee » Sat May 31, 2008 10:01 am

...'Tis my turn in The Barn... :?
Am rather relieved actually as the last couple of days have been horrid - all bloated and had two migraines! Feeling much better now if a little sluggish.

Shame is - I am allergic to my Mooncup, so no more of that for me unless I can find an alternative - anyone know of one?

Pop in to say hi as you are passing.

Got my book (Magus - again!), got my chocolate so should be OK

Sea sponges, mosses and other absorbent natural materials have been used for 1000's of years. Here's a link for sponges:

thank you for the sea sponge tip - will go and look at the link.
Am feeling better thank you. Diet went out window though as I was craving bread and marmite so I nicked the crust off the fresh loaf... that is it now or I will blow up like a balloon! Still have lost half a stone so far so not doing badly (water retention added back 2 lbs this week!!!)
Thanks for popping in to check on me, think I feel ready for a drink now, shall we sit outside the Barn on teh grass as it is such a nice evening? :)

Hi Sujee,

I hope that you're starting to feel better and that the chocolate and bread and marmite helped :D

Hi Sea Sprite!
Yes feeling much more myself now and lighter too which is a bonus! That is why I 'sinned' on my diet and had goodies! Saw a good friend today too which took my mind off things for a while as a migraine was threatening me but I took my pill when out and was fine. :)

How are you?

Hi Sujee - good luck with the Seapearls.

Have you tried fennel tea for the bloating? It's a good diuretic which will eliminate the bloating, and it also eases PMT. If the bloating has gone, you could bear fennel tea in mind for another time.

It's also a good appetite suppressant so should help with your diet too. One for the boys too here - fennel tea counterbalances the after effects of alcohol, so it's good for hangovers.

It's interesting that fennel was used as protection against witchcraft - so any healing spells might not work.

Good luck

You can buy fennel seeds from anywhere that sells kitchen herbs - Julian Graves is good - and make the tea with those. Might be better to grind or crush them up a bit first. Wild fennel grows like crazy round here. There's loads of it just the other side of our garden wall.

Hope you feel better soon lovey!

Thank you all for your well wishing! I am feeling like me again today although a friend said that I still looked as though I 'was beside myself' - as she is Danish I guess she meant 'not myself'!!
Cramps still here but bloating gone - I shall get some fennel seeds and make tea and collect fresh ones from my friend's plants at the right time. I do like nettle tea as well - does that help with fluid too? I know it does weight loss.

am out and about again and feeling like sorting things and tidying so maybe I am not myself LOL!!

Kisses and hugs to all of you!!

As an afterthought, one friend thinks I am now doomed to big bleeds until I change.... lovely thought..... not!! Rather looking forward to Crone phase tho, but not for about 10 years!!! :D
