Wow - my first Mooncup

Postby Daffodil » Tue Nov 11, 2008 12:30 pm

Not normally one to share these kind of details, but I feel so liberated. Why did no-one tell me about these things sooner!

If any of you girls don't have one - go get one now! (if you need one of course, don't get one if you don't, that would be silly )

Glad you're pleased with it, Daffodil :D I've got one too, but without going into too much detail (  ), I've not used it for the past 3 months or so as I've had a few problems with it. They are great though and so good for the environment (and your purse!) :D

OK I admit.... I have NEVER heard of a mooncup. Are you laughing at me???

What on earth is a mooncup? I am having bizarre thoughts about what it could be!

Please enlighten me!!

Here you go Brooke.

I always kept meaning to get round to trying one but never did, obviously not needed while I am pregnant but will try one once my body is back to normal after baby.

Sorry Brooke, I didn't mean to talk in code, I just didn't want to put too much detail about it, as not everyone wants to hear about it - LOL

My husband keeps asking about it and then squirming when I tell him.

Oh Dear! That's not somewhere you want an allergic reaction is it?

I'm getting on great with mine (mostly  ) I love the environmentally friendly side of it.

I think their are other alternatives too that you could maybe try seen as you can't use your mooncup.

I can't remember what they are called, but I think some other people on the forum will know. :D

Thanks SD,
I must admit there have been one or two 'issues' to begin with, but it was worth the perseverance.

Ah, the mooncup. I love mine.

After the initial gymnastics getting the thing in, I have now pretty much perfected my one-handed manoevering.

I like the fact that you can leave it in for longer then tampons, very useful when going on things like train journeys and the like.

(And without going into too much x-rated detail, Hubs likes it too. ) :D

Oh, and I recommend completely chopping off the stalk.
