Yes, I saw it! It was a beautiful picture-book crescent new moon in a pale blue sky fading to dusk. I so love evenings like this. I had a book of nursery rhymes when I was little, which was beautifully illustrated with full-page pictures, and I still remember the evening skies, with the moon and stars. There was a particularly lovely picture of a nightingale sitting on a branch of apple blossom at dusk, with the sun sinking low on one side, and the young moon rising in a velvety blue twilight. Magical!! And Wee Willy Winkie still runs through the streets in his nightgown in my mind...........

We saw it but only for a bit because it was very cloudy where we were. But it was amazing to see.

So thats what it was ! ! ! !

I saw it whilst driving home, occasional glimpse whilst avoiding other people who had the sheer audacity to want to drive on the same piece of road as me.

Didn't have time to stop and look but thought ooooooeeerrrr I wonder what that strange thing in the sky is. . . . . . . .

Aha - so that's what it was........ saw strange lights in the sky that weren't usually there, and couldn't figure out what was going on........

Was on the shore at the time, and thought they might be lights from the mast of a ship, but there was no ship .........

having seen that picture I now realise that I saw it too :D
where the willow weeps tears of diamond
and the oak bleeds pearls of dew
I have often dreamed there....
