Huh?

Postby Felicity » Sat Jan 03, 2009 4:09 pm

Here's a puzzle. I went to Sainsbury's this morning and being a sad virgo gal, I put everything on the till in order - tins etc first, and salad and magazines at the end so it all goes into the bags nicely.

Anyway, I checked my receipt (told you I was sad) and my Predictions magazine was right at the end but 1. Above it was the note 'THINK 21 CASHIER CONFIRMED OVER 16.' I hadn't bought any alcohol knives or matches or anything like that and as I said the only items near were salad and also Chat Its Fate magazine. Can anyone shed light on this little mystery? You don't have to be 16 to buy this type of magazine - do you . . .?
Are we human because we gaze at the stars or do we gaze at them because we are human? And do the stars gaze back - now that's a question!

There are certain magazines that you have to be over 16 to buy - not only 'top shelf' mags but allsorts of adult themed magazines.
I didn't know however that mags like Prediction would fall into this category.

Yes this is getting a crazy world to say the very least.
Here is one for you and true, I was in LA in 2006 and went walkabout looking for a long sleeved camo top for my hiding in bushes  I found this shop like the old ex army surplus we used to have so in I wander and start looking, just like a kid in a sweet shop. They had a machine gun on a stand hundreds of other guns, knives CS gas at only 50p can you imagine that. I got my top it only cost a few $ compaired to the crooks here in the UK wanting £20.
All this was on full view in a big shop with no age restrictions on people entering the shop.

Now for the crazy bit, the US banned Willie Nelson's CD and wouldnt sell it over there just because it had a Hemp leaf of the front of the CD case.

Just a crazy world, stop i want to get off and retire in Stonewylde
